Holding a dual degree in Politics & International Relations and Law (LLB) from the University of Newcastle, Australia, her career spans healthcare, legal strategy, real estate, and diplomacy.

As the Founder of the Talitha-Cumi Foundation and DP Medicals, Vice President of Glocal Unity Women International (France), Managing Director of Widely POS, and recently appointed Country Director for Zimbabwe at Iconic International Holdings, Dr. Kurima continues to spearhead socio-economic transformation across Africa and beyond.

Looking back at your journey—from early leadership experiences like the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) in South Africa to earned degrees in Law and International Relations—how did these foundational years shape your strategic approach to leadership today?

Thank you for having me. My early exposure to cultural exchanges and youth leadership programs like RYLA instilled in me a deep appreciation for cross-cultural collaboration, diplomacy, and community welfare.

Pursuing Law and Politics at the University of Newcastle grounded those experiences in structure and strategy. It taught me how governance, legal frameworks, and international policy dictate socio-economic outcomes.

Today, whether I am structuring an international trade deal, advocating for women in business, or directing regional operations, I look through both a legal and strategic lens to ensure our initiatives are impactful and sustainable.

You have founded impactful ventures across healthcare and philanthropy, notably the Talitha-Cumi Foundation and DP Medicals. What drove you to establish these organizations, and how do they interconnect with your vision for community development?

When I founded the Talitha-Cumi Foundation in 2018, the mandate was clear: lift up vulnerable communities, foster poverty alleviation, and build sustainable pathways for women and youth.

Healthcare is a core pillar of human dignity, which inspired the inception of DP Medicals in 2020 to strengthen regional healthcare supply chains. Development cannot happen in isolation; healthy communities and empowered individuals are prerequisites for economic growth.

Your portfolio spans diverse industries globally—from managing international operations with Widely POS across Zimbabwe, China, and Australia, to your role with Victor Scott Dubai Realtor and directing growth for the Global Achiever Network. How do you successfully navigate and scale across such varied markets?

It comes down to three things: strong systems, strategic partnerships, and clear market positioning.

Whether managing technology solutions with Widely POS across three continents or navigating international real estate markets in Dubai, the core principles of growth remain the same—identifying market needs, building reliable networks, and maintaining high standards of governance.

Each sector feeds into a broader ecosystem of global trade, business development, and cross-border collaboration.

As the Visionary behind the Vision 2030 SME Summit, organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Women Affairs, what critical steps must be taken to ensure African women and SMEs achieve true economic inclusion?

Economic inclusion requires moving past dialogue into actionable framework implementation. Through the Vision 2030 SME Summit, our goal is to bridge the gap between grassroots entrepreneurs and structural opportunities—such as access to capital, digital trade networks, and capacity building.

To empower women and small enterprises, we must remove institutional barriers, foster innovation, and integrate local SMEs into regional and continental supply chains.

Congratulations on your recent appointment as the Country Director for Zimbabwe at Iconic International Holdings! What is your vision for this strategic role, and how will it influence trade, investment, and leadership development in Zimbabwe?

I am deeply honored by this appointment. As Country Director, my mission is to position Zimbabwe as a key hub for regional integration, strategic investment, and high-impact corporate initiatives.

We will be leveraging Iconic International Holdings' global platform to drive bilateral trade, support high-performing leaders, and create multi-sectoral opportunities that align with our national and continental economic priorities.

As a global leader serving as Vice President of Glocal Unity Women International in France and Director of Clevenard Zimbabwe, what message do you have for the next generation of young women aspiring to lead in diplomacy, entrepreneurship, and governance?

My message to young women is to build competence, remain resilient, and take up space unapologetically.

Leadership is not given; it is cultivated through preparation, continuous learning, and service. Align your passion with strategy, seek out global networks, and never underestimate the impact of local action.

Africa's future depends on leaders who are willing to build bridges across borders while staying anchored in community impact.
