O’rian Osarumese Sunylian “Datcinemaboy” Builds Coolbase Media House Into a Multi-Arm Creative Force in African Media

NIGERIA — From behind the camera to the boardroom, O’rian Osarumese Sunylian, popularly known across the creative industry as Datcinemaboy, has spent the past several years building Coolbase Media House (CBM) into a versatile creative enterprise spanning Delta, Edo and Lagos States.

As Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Coolbase Media House, O’rian has developed the company across five distinct departments: CBM Tech, CBM Studios, CBM Events, CBM Network, and CBM Publishing & Distribution.

His professional portfolio cuts across several areas of the modern media industry, including cinematography, photography, event direction, graphic design, social media management, digital marketing and brand development. His broad experience has helped shape CBM as more than a conventional production studio, positioning it as a home for storytelling, live experiences, technology and distribution.

Under his direction, CBM Studios has produced music videos, brand films and event coverage, while CBM Events has handled live programming, including the recurring LAZY LUXURY event series. CBM Network covers news and media across politics, business, technology, sports, entertainment, security and health. Meanwhile, CBM Publishing & Distribution extends the company's work into print and audio.

The company's newest arm, CBM Tech, has already released digital products, including cbmaccess.com, further establishing Coolbase Media House as both a producer of culture and a developer of digital tools supporting the creative industry.

O’rian's work has also received recognition beyond his home state. He has been named Video Director of the Year and honored as an Influential Young Deltan and African Youth Ambassador. He currently serves as Assistant National Director of Media and ICT for the African Union Youth Council (Clubs), Nigerian Chapter, where his media expertise contributes to youth engagement across Africa.

Beyond his commercial work, O’rian has invested in developing other creatives through practical training in graphic design, cinematography, content creation, social media management and digital marketing. CBM's training initiatives have also introduced aspiring creatives to mobile videography and content production. He is currently pursuing formal studies in mass communication, building on years of practical experience in media production.

“Coolbase Media House was never meant to be one thing. Every arm of this business exists because there was a gap I saw as a creative first — in production, in events, in how stories get told and distributed. Building it out has been about giving those ideas a proper home.”

With a growing portfolio of client work, an expanding training arm and an increasing range of technology and digital products, Coolbase Media House continues to position itself as a reference point for independent, multidisciplinary media production and innovation across Delta, Edo and Lagos States.
